미 해병의 집의 사명은 해병 전우와 그들의 가족들을 위해 인도적이고 인애(人愛)적인 차원에서 아낌없이 도움을 주는 것입니다. 도움이 필요한 분들을 찾아가고, 그들의 아픔을 함께하고, 진정한 사랑으로 교제하며, 뜻을 같이하는 분들과 네트워킹을 통하여 실질적이고 효과적인 도움을 주는 것입니다.
해병의 집은 예비역 뿐 아니라 현역과 그들의 가족들을 위해 돕고 봉사하기 위하여 존재합니다. 아울러 해병의 집의 모든 활동은 정부의 정책과 활동에 절대로 상충하지 않을 것이며 오히려 정부의 정책을 돕고 보조하는 것을 원칙으로 합니다. 또한 해병의 집은 한미 양국간의 해병 전우들의 우호를 돈독히 하는것도 목적으로 하고있습니다.
